1960 BSA M21 600cc side valve in Military Trim

I am advertising this motorcycle on behalf of the owner

The motorcycle is located in Holmfirth

Bought in 1987, it was inspected and re registered with an age related number JSV 839, after a confirmation letter from the Vintage club on 17/ 11/ 87. It had done just over 100. 000 miles

Originally an AA bike, and I still have the original old style registration document. The bike was completely stripped and the frame and all cycle parts were shot-blasted, painted with red primer, and every part hand painted with kharki/ Olive green by me.(apart from mag & gearbox)

In 1988 the engine had an overhaul, and a new barrel sleeve liner, crank, piston and rings to make it into an M21. The mag was rewound, and dyno overhauled.

Converted to look like the Dutch Military model which they used up until circa 1965, single seat etc fitted. Now covered 3, 900 miles since 1988.

Since had a new regulator fitted 5 years ago, and in June 2026, new Amal carb, battery, front tyre, throttle assembly, levers, plug, brake/ clutch/ throttle cables new.

Loads of engine gaskets with some spares come with it.

Comes with Current V5C registered as Historic & vmcc dating certificate
