1960 Velocette Venom / Thruxton

Thruxton cylinder head & inlet manifold

Thruxton fuel tank modified oil tank twin leading shoe front brake

Original Dunlop flanged alloy rims with Avon Roadrider tyres

Running Lucas Rita electronic ignition

Starts easily & sounds good

Previous owner for 40 + years this motorcycle has been off the road for many years

Recently it has had a fair bit of time & expense being recommissioned

Rebore +20 with new rings

New fork stanchions & oil seals new rear shocks

Dynamo overhauled by Tony Cooper 12 volts new DVR2 regulator

New wiring harness

Chronometric clocks overhauled

After a couple of short rides everything is working including the charging system

It will however require further miles putting on it & various adjustments & setting up may be required

Sadly it had become to heavy for the previous owner so he made the decision to let it go

This motorcycle has not been restored it is a survivor & still retains many period correct parts

Velocette Dating certificate originally despatched to Smiths Motors Bakewell Derbyshire

Current V5c Logbook registered as Historic non transferable registration number
