This is a very original unrestored motorcycle 

Brief History of the T100C 

The T100C was a derivative of Edward Turner's 1939's Introduced Speedtwin
This model was produced from 1953 to 1972
The C suffix signified 'Competition' 
All but the final two years of the T100C production were American Export only 

The Competition model Incorporated a variety of styling features unique to this model

Higher Rise Handlebars 
High Level Exhaust Pipes With Heat Shields 
Small Capacity 2 1/2 Gallon Fuel Tank
Smaller Diameter Headlamp
Polished Stainless Steel Mudguards 
Folding Footrests
Crankcase Undershields 
3.50 Front 4.00 Rear Tyre 

This T100C was imported back to the U.K. from California Back in 1997 
It has had Two owners in the U.K. In that time

This T100C is in original condition it has not been restored & still retains it's original Dunlop rims 
The oil tank has been chromed at some point in it's life almost certainly done in the U.S. something American dealers did as an option.

The bike has been laid up for the last few years due to coming from the previous owners deceased estate 

A new battery fuel system clean out new petrol taps & fuel hose have been fitted

The Engine oil has also been changed 

The bike starts easily runs & rides well the engine sounds good & does not smoke everything is working 

This motorcycle may need further recommissioning by the new owner due to not having much use in recent years 

 

Current V5C Registerd as Historic 

There are some old MOT certificates & list of work carried out on the T100C 
Including 

2001 Speedo rebuilt by A Pople at Speedo Repairs, set to the original mileage. ie not zeroed
2005, Replace 6v coils with 12v units and ballast resistor, to enable Boyer electronic ignition to be fitted (although bike is still on points).
2005 Valve guides modified to accept oil seals
2005 Seven plate clutch conversion (LP Williams)
2005 Surflex clutch friction plates
2005 Mushroom clutch pushrod (SRM Engineering)
2004 Contact breakers
2005 Clutch cable, nylon lined
2003 Speedo drive box
2005 Front brake shoes
2005 Fork Gaitors
